Should my son get a vaccination of Meningococcal C conjugate.? We are from Japan and going to stay in Canada for two years. He is 2.5 years old and has received vaccinations you recommend except that one. He will join some child care programs from July. Thanks,

It is recommended that children living in BC receive all of the vaccines that are routinely recommended for children in BC. This ensures that they are protected against diseases they are at risk for here in BC.

We recommend that you take your child’s immunization record to your local public health unit to be checked.  A public health nurse can review your child’s record and recommend and provide any missing routine vaccines for free.

You can find the contact information for public health units in BC  here.
